Our Commitment to Stewardship
At Kingwood United Methodist Church we make a commitment to offering ourselves to God and through our community of faith with our prayers, our presence, our gifts, and our service. As you can see, stewardship is about far more than money, it is about a way of life that is willing to respond to God's love in many ways.
Through our prayers we lift up other individuals and also ask God to guide and direct the life of our congregation so that we may do His will more fully.
Through our presence we come together in worship, in fellowship, and in study so that together we may go further into the relationships that God would have us prioritize, first God and then Christian love for one another alongside our commitment to God.
Through our gifts we return to God part of the resources that He has given to us. We are just stewards, we care for God's property, and we are called to return generously. And gifts are not only money. We are also caretakers of spiritual gifts that God wants each of us to use in His kingdom building project. If you don't know your spiritual gifts you might want to consider our spiritual gifts course.
Through our service we put hands and feet to God's will in the world. We reach out to others in many ways both at home and abroad and we find that not only are we used to bless others, but that we are as equally or even more blessed by offering one of our most important commodities, our time.
