At the time of a death in a family, support of the Church is important. In addition to the pastors, lay persons of the Church minister to the family by providing a meal, either at home or the Church, and by offering to “house-sit” during the funeral. Please contact Donna Smith for help during your time of loss or to find out how you can reach out to others who are going through these losses in their lives.

“When I first came to Grief Share, I couldn’t talk without crying.  I still cry sometimes, but I know that my journey of healing is a process.  Grief Share has been most helpful.”

If you have lost a loved one, whether it be a spouse, a child, parent, friend, you know that feeling of “wandering through a wilderness” alone.  There may be people all around, but you feel sad and alone.  Grief Share is a support group for you, whether your loss was a month ago or 5 or years ago.  As you meet weekly with others who have lost a loved one, you will find a safe place to share your feelings with others, to watch a video featuring both experts and people like you who have lost someone, and discuss what you learn.  This 13-week group experience can help you see that all of the mixed emotions are feeling are normal, and will help you get through the difficult days. We are offering these groups once again beginning on Monday, September 11th through Monday, December 4th, 2017 (with a break during the week of Thanksgiving). There will be a morning class 10:00a-12:00p, and an evening class from 6:30p-8:30p.  Both classes will be held in Building C, Room E-204. Cost is $20 for the workbook.
