Three times a year, this group prepares bags for our shut-ins and homebound members. Please call the Church Office to find out how you can help with assembly or delivery of these bags. You will be blessed by the wonderful reception you receive from those who experience God's love through your efforts.

Gathering Place is a program for those with memory impairments, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, stroke and other disabilities. The Gathering Place offers various activities: crafts, entertainment, games, conversation circle, and a wonderful lunch. We have a different theme every month. Caregivers are encouraged to take some time for themselves while their loved ones enjoys a fun outing. For information, please contact Beth Statesir at 281-989-8471. Please join us!
The Layette Ministry provides layettes for some of the 300+ babies born at LBJ Hospital into homes of poverty. Volunteers have made diaper bags, knitted caps, receiving blankets, and bibs. Always needed are bottles, cloth diapers, bottle brushes, pacifiers, powder, lotion etc., to finish filling the diaper bags. Many of these moms are very young and have been disowned by family. The opportunities for both fellowship and service include donating any of the above, or getting together with others to assemble the layettes. Call Julia Pearce at 281-360-4142, or Mary Magnusson at 281-361-9298 to find out more.
Prayer Shawl Ministry
Wednesdays, 1:30 p.m., K104
The Prayer Shawl Ministry delivers over 100 shawls each year, and the need for shawls is greater than the supply at times! We invite anyone interested in knitting or crocheting to join us. If you are a beginner, someone will be there to help you get started. This is a wonderful way to serve, make new friends, and have a fun fellowship. If you would like to add a person to the recipient list for a shawl, please contact Kenn Munn.
Serving Hearts is a lay-led ministry which offers loving assistance for short term needs. Volunteers cook meals, provide transportation to doctor's appointments, sit with shut-ins on a limited basis, or pick up prescriptions or groceries for homebound persons. Please call Anita Haun at 281-358-0725 to volunteer or to find out more about this program.
