Young Mom’s Bible Study

Room # E201

This group welcomes any mom of newborns or any age child in school.  All children are different and all moms are different, but we can learn from each other’s experiences.  Encouragement, prayer, tears, laughter and help with meals are available to you!  Newborns are always welcome in our study until you and the nursery are ready for each other.  We will meet you wherever you are in your spiritual journey, even if this is your first study.

We will be studying Disciplines of a Godly Woman by Barbara Hughes.

“Maybe discipline seems like a hard word to you – implying nothing but challenge and duty. Yet most of us see the value in cultivating spiritual disciplines, and we long to be more consistent in our relationship with God, even in the midst of our busy lives.”

Classes will begin on Wednesdays, January 18th – May 3rd, 2017 in Rooms E-200/201. Fellowship and breakfast snacks begin at 9:00 when the nursery is open. Class begins at 9:30 with nursery pick up at 11:30. The book is $10 payable in class with cash or check to KUMC. Nursery is available with registration.

Please register now to give our childcare ample time to plan for your child. To register, please complete a Registration Card located at the Welcome Desk, or contact Melinda Dodd directly at 281.797.7334 or melindad@kingwoodcable.net.

Taking Responsibility for Your Life …. because no one else will By Andy Stanley

Wednesdays July 12- August 9, 2017

Responsibilities. We all have them. But we don’t all take them as seriously as we ought to. Wouldn’t it be great, though, if we all took responsibility for the things we are responsible for? Wouldn’t it be great if you took responsibility for everything you’re responsible for? It’s time to stop the finger-pointing and excuse- making and to remove the “ir” in irresponsible.

In this five session DVD study, Andy Stanley, with his very engaging and thought provoking approach to this challenging and personal topic, highlights the great need for both men and women to take responsibility for their own lives.

The summer study is open to men and women of all ages.

Class will be from 9:30am-11:30am in E 200/201

Cost of the class (which includes the book) is $5

*Child care reservation for infants – completed 5th grade is available with registration (space available).

For childcare reservation, contact Melinda Dodd at melindad@kingwoodcable.net  or 281-797-7334

Weekdays for Men

Accepting His Promises

Room # E200-201

The primary program through which the men of KUMC get into small groups with other men is Accepting His Promise. Our AHP groups provide an opportunity for Christian men who want to grow stronger in their relationship with God to come together for weekly Bible study, prayer, and support. AHP Groups share in authentic life discussions and hold one another accountable so that together they may become better disciples. If you are interested in growing in Christ through vital relationships with other men, please visit the Men’s Calendar for more details about the various AHP groups meeting at KUMC, or email the Church Office to inquire about finding a group to join.
