Children’s Choirs | Sydney Anderson

J.A.M. Sessions 2017-2018

This year, the Children’s Music Ministry is teaming up with the rest of Children’s Ministry to offer an all-inclusive Fellowship Night for KUMC children ages 3-5th grade! Join us for rotating “J.A.M. Sessions” (That’s, Jesus And Music!), which will include Bible Studies, Fellowship Crafts and Activities, and of course, Children’s Choir.

Wednesday Evening Schedule
Session 1: 6:00-6:30pm
3 year olds – Cherub Music with Ms. Jessica (4 year olds start in the nursery)
K-2nd – Bible time/games with Ms. Whitney
3rd-5th – Bible time/games with Ms. Ellen
Session 2: 6:30 – 7:20
4 year olds (6:45-7:15) – Music with Ms. Jessica (3 year olds go to nursery)
K-2 – Alleluia Choir with Ms. Elizabeth
3rd-5th – Wesley Choir with Ms. Sydney

*Please note that the children will be signed in at their Bible Study room, and signed out at the Children’s Choir room, so it is expected that any child registering for the evening’s activities is registering for both. Musikgarten

Musikgarten, an internationally recognized program in early childhood music and movement, has a long-standing reputation as the leader in the field of affordable early music education. KUMC is happy to announce we will be offering Musikgarten classes for infants through preschool aged children.

Summer Music Camp

Registration is open for the Summer M.A.D. Camp. If you have a child entering 2nd-5th grade, sign him/her up for this fun, creative camp, which teaches various ways of worship through music and movement.

Program dates: August 21-23, 9:30am-12:00pm. Snack provided daily.

Adult Choirs

Chancel Choir | David Allen

Room # Choir Room

The adult Chancel Choir provides musical leadership for the 9:40 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Sunday worship services from mid-August through June. Each year they also present two major choral performances. Childcare is provided during weekly rehearsals.

Men’s Ensemble | David Allen

The Men’s Ensemble meets each Wednesday from 8:30-9:10 pm.  This growing group covers staple literature within the TTBB literature as well as contemporary sacred works.  This is not an auditioned group.

  • The women’s choral ensemble of KUMC, is made up of women of all ages that enjoy the friendships and support that result from singing together, striving for musical excellence as a vehicle for building the body of Christ.
  • Sola Gratia sings for worship services, community events, elder care centers, and special services and occasions at KUMC.
  • We welcome women who enjoy the challenge of singing 4-8 part music in a variety of classical and contemporary styles. Child care is provided on site.

King’s Ringers | David Allen

Room # Bell Room

The Handbell Choirs at KUMC play an important part in the overall music program. Choirs are organized by handbell experience. The choirs perform during selected worship services and at special seasonal services. The King’s Ringers rehearse from September through May. If you read music and would like to be a part of the King’s Ringers, contact David Allen.  Rehearsals are Sundays 4-5 pm.
