Sixth graders may be enrolled in a nine-month program throughout the school year which meets in K103. For more information, e-mail Confirmation Coordinator Stacey Sweet.

Sixth grade students not enrolled in Confirmation are welcome to join us and get to know their classmates and participate in all 6th grade activities and missions.

Freshman Union

Freshman Union is a year long program for High School freshman helping them to transition into HS. Meets on 1st Sunday of each month from 11-12 followed by family lunch and discussion. Engaging families and pastors in table discussions. $55.00 Registration covers 10 meals + Lock-in Retreat

Senior Union

KUMC student ministry is aiming to help high school seniors prepare spiritually and mentally for the transition to college. We will gather together 9 times, one retreat and include a family mission experience. Expectations of students: to attend 7 of 9 classes, serve the church monthly and interview a pastor. Meets 2nd Sunday of each month.  Cost of $55 covers curriculum, Retreat & Mission.

High School LIFE | Shelby Rushing

Room # K103

On Wednesday Night from 5:30-7:30pm in K103, high school students learn the value of doing LIFE together through a program designed and centered around play, accountability, intentional discussion, encouragement, and the study of the Word of God.  Free dinner provided @ The Table in the Gym from 5-6 on 1st and 4th weeks of the month.  Meals in the Loft on 2nd & 3rd Wednesdays.  Study Hall is included in the evening from when they finish dinner till 6:30.  Contact Shelby Rushing for more information.

On Sunday mornings @ 9:40 a.m., in The Loft, high school students meet together as a church community to worship together.  Worship is student led by members of our youth worship band. Parents are welcome to join and be a part of the experience!  Contact Clint Wyllie for more information or to get plugged in.

On Wednesday nights 5:30-7:30pm, in The Loft, middle school students meet together as a church community to experience high energy and interactive worship together. Summer Programs

Programs

FLIPt

Flipt is a local mission for completed 6th-8th graders. The students will work outside on local pre-selected home sites in Kingwood and Humble. At night the students will stay at KUMC with adult volunteers also attending worship after working on sites.

 

Kickstart

Kickstart your summer and get ready for 6th grade.  Join us for fun summer activities and service projects.  For completed 5th graders who are entering 6th grade.  Contact Stacey Sweet for more information.   Summer schedule will be posted in April.

Middle School Summer Retreat

Join KUMC Middle School Student Ministry for Road Rules, 3 days in Galveston. We will enjoy a day at the beach, Schlitterbahn and a mission project.  For students who have completed 6th, 7th or 8th grade. money will be needed for 1-2 meals.

 

 

SIFAT

SIFAT is a Week-long Third World Mission Experience Camp for graduated 7th through 12th graders. This week long experience alternates years with the Costa Rica Mission Trip.

J.T. Barger Memorial Golf Tournament

The J.T. Barger Memorial Golf Tournament has been established to honor J.T., and to help fund the activities that were such a vital part of his life. The proceeds from this event will go to support the youth mission programs and provide scholarships to graduating seniors.
