Online Giving FAQs

How Do I Give Online?

  • Click the appropriate "Give Online" link to the right  to log-in.
    • KUMC Members: use your KUMC Community Login Name and Password, or create them ("Need a Login") using your primary email account and you will be sent a password immediately via email. By setting up a member account, you will be able to view your giving history and print statements.
    • Guests: please create a guest account by clicking the second link listed on the right.
    • Once in the secure area look on the navigation bar for "Giving".  
    • Click on "Giving" and choose between "Give Now" or "Manage Scheduled Giving".  Managed Scheduled Giving may be used if you would like to set-up a recurring donation.  
    • During step #2, you will have an option to choose a fund for your giving. "Contribution" is the fund designated for pledged tithes and offerings.  Memorial funds and other unique designations may be made by typing the information into the "Optional Description" field of "Contributions" which pops up once you begin to enter an amount.
    • Continue following the prompts and clicking "Continue" until the transaction is complete.  You should receive a confirmation email to verify your transaction was successfully submitted.
       

First time to Log-in?
Create an account by using the email account KUMC has on file for you.  Once you enter your email address, the system will generate for you a user ID and a password which you may customize.  If you have not submitted an email address to the KUMC office, it is always possible to register as Guest.  Guests may register and pay for events, and they may make online contributions; however, they do not have access to all features offered in KUMC Community.  

Is Online Giving Secure?
Yes. Your banking and credit card information will only be stored on a secure server that meets all federal data encryption guidelines. Our merchant account provider is Sage.

May I Give Online if I Do Not Attend Kingwood UMC?
Yes. However, if your email address is not on file with KUMC, your collective giving will not be reflected.

How Do I Know if my Online Gift was Processed?
After giving online you will immediately receive a confirmation email. You will see the gift posted to your Giving History within five (5) business days.

May I Set Up my Online Giving to be Recurring?
Yes. Your gift may be one-time-only or recurring. For recurring gifts, click on the "Recurring" box and then choose the frequency you want: weekly, every two weeks, monthly or every three months. You may choose the number of payments or give the date of the last transaction. And of course you can modify your scheduled giving at any time.

Will I Still Receive My Contribution Statement in the Mail?
Yes. Kingwood United Methodist Church will continue to mail annual contribution statements before January 31 of each year.

May I Designate How My Online Gift is to Be Used?
KUMC accepts designated giving so long as the designated fund is already established. If you would like to designate how your gift is to be used, please refer to the menu available on step #2 of the online giving process.  If the fund is not there, then fill in the text line under other.  If your contribution is in response to your annual pledge, please choose the appropriate year and choose "Contribution to KUMC" as the designated fund.

KUMC Community members may update and review their own profile information, access the church directory, review giving history, and make online payments.  

Is this your first time to log-in? If you have submitted your primary email address to the church office, you should be able to log-in with that email address to receive a user ID and password.
