Needs Moving Forward:
Kingwood United Methodist Church has many volunteers that want to assist you in this next phase of clean up from Harvey. We have seen the need for demolition slowing down and more of a need for washing clothes, cleaning of houses, as well as things like needing a hot meal, or just a place to rest and sit for a bit. Please fill out this form and we will get you connected with a family who is ready to help!
In response to Hurricane Harvey’s impact on our area, Kingwood UMC has a relief and recovery fund to assist families impacted by the flooding waters. If you or someone you know would like to be considered for help through this fund, complete the application and return to Cathy Parva at email@example.com. Applications will be reviewed confidentially by a Harvey Fund committee who will contact you within one week of receiving your application. If you or someone you know needs volunteer help to restore your home, please contact Cathy Parva.
Assist a Family:
The community is moving into the phase where there is less demolition and more of a need for support help. Kingwood United Methodist Church is on the search for people who would like to “adopt a family.” What this means is you will be connected with a family that may need their clothes and dishes clean, floors and other surfaces cleaned in their house, a meal every so often, or anything else that may be impossible to do while they are out of their homes. If this is an area where you feel like you could help in, please fill out this form.
