Rev. Jim Welch

Rev. Jim Welch came to KUMC after serving a term as Superintendent of the Central South District of the Texas Annual Conference. Rev. Welch holds a Master of Theology Degree from Perkins at Southern Methodist University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Houston.
He is a Board Member of the Volunteers of America organization, as well as the Methodist Children's Home. He was elected as a Clergy Delegate to General Conference in 2000, 2004 and 2008. Jim also serves on numerous boards, agencies and committees of the United Methodist Church. Jim and his wife Debbie have two children and two grandchildren. They have faithfully served six UM churches in Texas and a student appointment to Edom Sexton Chapel.

Rev. Judy Tefteller has a B.S. in Education from University of Houston and is certified in Christian Education. She completed diaconal studies at Southern Methodist University and United Theological Seminary. Judy was consecrated a Diaconal Minister in 1990 and became an ordained Deacon in full connection in 1997.
Judy and her husband Steve have three grown children.

Rev. Matt Stone is the pastor of KUMC's 11:00 a.m. contemporary service, The Vine. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Religious Studies from University of Texas and a Master of Divinity from Perkins School of Theology.
Matt and his wife, Margaret, have two young children.

Rev. Ellen Kent has been on staff since February of 2010. She graduated from Miami University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in the double majors of History and Psychology and received the Master of Theological Studies from Perkins Theological Seminary at SMU in 2009. She was ordained as a Deacon in the United Methodist Church in 2011.
In her spare time Ellen loves to play tennis, watch tennis, talk tennis!! She and her husband Dan have two boys.

Jim Randall comes to Kingwood after a successful career as a President/CEO of both for-profit and not-for-profit corporations. Jim is relocating to Kingwood from the Oklahoma City area, though he has traveled extensively throughout the United States for many years. Jim is responsible for the day to day administrative, financial and operational aspects of KUMC ministries. Jim has studied primarily at Oklahoma State University and Oklahoma City University. Jim is an ordained elder in the Presbyterian Church (PCUSA), and has actively led, served on Boards of Directors, or volunteered with numerous charitable, civic and faith-based organizations. |
