Are you confused about events in your life or having a difficult time coping? Are you lonely or hurting?

Stephen Ministers are dedicated Christians and trained lay members commissioned by our congregation. They offer weekly in-depth confidential visits filled with Christian love and support. They listen, they pray with and for you, and if necessary they will offer resources and referrals. All of our Stephen Ministers are caring, supportive Christian people who have a desire to be with you in a time of grief, loneliness, illness, job loss or other times of need.

If you are in need of a Stephen Minister or know someone who is, or if you would like to learn more about the program, please call Donna Smith, our Director of Caring Ministries, at 281-358-2137.

A new Stephen Ministry training class will be starting in January!  Stephen Ministers are members of KUMC who go through training and then provide emotional and spiritual support and care to people who are going through a difficult time, such as divorce, grief, hospitalization, unemployment, terminal illness, relocation, chronic illness, or loneliness. An informational meeting will be held on Sunday, November 12th at 12:15p in Room E-208.  If you plan to come to this meeting, or have questions about this wonderful ministry, please contact Donna Smith at (281) 358-2137 or donna.smith@kingwoodumc.org.
