Prayer Calendar
Each month our prayer ministry team creates a prayer calendar to help unite our congregation in prayer and focus our conversations with God in the same direction. There is a scripture listed for each day and oftentimes a ministry activity that is in need of our prayer support. Click on the link below to see a copy of the current prayer calendar. Then download a copy to keep or come back and visit each day for some daily bread!

Prayer Groups
In the midst of the expanding prayer ministry at Kingwood United Methodist Church are several small groups which come together either at the church or in their homes to intercede on behalf of others. There are groups on Sunday mornings, Wednesday mornings and at many other times. If you would like to become a part of one of these groups please contact Paula Cade at the church office (or email her at paula.cade@kingwoodumc.org) or Carolyn Dickerson.

Prayer Chains
Prayer chains exist within the church that can rapidly send out prayer requests and get an army of people on their knees to help you through your times of struggle and to give thanks for your joys. Members on the prayer chain are notified via mail, telephone and email. Urgent requests are sent out by way of telephone and email and these members stop and pray immediately and then pass on the information to the next person on the chain. Prayer chain members who are being contacted by mail will receive a week's worth of requests. To become a member of any of these important groups please contact Paula Cade at (281) 358-2137 or drop her an email at paula.cade@kingwoodumc.org.

Prayer Partners
The prayer partner group consists of about 20 people who pray for six families in our community of faith every day for a week and call the families (when possible) to find out if there are any particular prayer needs at that time. Each year each family is prayed for at least two weeks.

Opportunities for Prayer Abound
Along with these essential prayer groups we also find times as a congregation to come together for special prayer vigils and truly appeal to God to understand His will for our lives and also to lift up the needs of others. Each year we participate in the National Day of Prayer by making the sanctuary accessible to all throughout the day. On the first day of the school year, we hold a special prayer time to lift up our children and their teachers for God's guidance, protection, and blessings. KUMC is committed to be a people who turns to God in prayer whenever a need arises.
