Gathering Place

Gathering Place is a program for those with memory impairments, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, stroke and other disabilities. Once a month on the 2nd Friday (10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall), a party is held with various activities: crafts, entertainment, games, conversation circle, and a wonderful lunch. We have a different theme every month. Caregivers are encouraged to take some time for themselves while their loved one enjoys a fun outing. Friendship Club

The Friendship Club, for senior adults, meets on the first and third Wednesdays of the month (11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. in the KUMC Gym), offering a time of food and fellowship. All seniors are welcome. Many seniors are brought in from the area assisted living facilities. If transportation is needed, please contact the church office at (281) 358-2137. This club also meets at St. Martha's Catholic Church on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month.

Mature Adult Council (MAC)

The mature adult council (MAC) offers monthly excursions for members and friends of KUMC who are 50 years of age and older. MAC trips have included sight-seeing tours of Galveston museums, the cultural enjoyment of a day at the theater or the ballpark and much much more. Tasty treats are always found at the many restaurants MAC patronizes on their trips. Members receive the MAC newsletter six times a year and will find in its pages detailed information on upcoming MAC events.
