What is This Old House?
This Old House is an opportunity for middle school youth to share their gifts with those in need. Students spend two days and three nights on a mini-mission trip serving those in need in the immediate community. They paint and repair homes, cleanup yards and churches for those less fortunate. The evenings are spent in devotion, games and fun.
Kingwood United Methodist Church hosts the youth for the evenings. Youth travel by van to their work sites by day and sleep in the church for their much-needed rest at night.
This program is organized and sponsored by the KUMC Youth Ministry and KUMC youth parents. Volunteer and parental support is crucial for any program of this length and size. If you are interested in volunteering your time, we would like to have your help.
Dates: July 29 - August 1
Cost: $35, scholarships are available
